Rahma Participates in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Event for International Childhood Cancer Day

Cancer Patient Care Society – Rahma, participated in an event organized by Sheikh Khalifa Medical City on the occasion of the International Childhood Cancer Day, in accordance with the directives of His Excellency Prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rahma. The participation came as a part of the wide ranging support and assistance the society provides to cancer patients and their families. During the event, gifts were handed out to affected children. H.E. Prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi commended Rahma’s participation, which is part of its efforts to engage in various national events in the UAE to enhance the society’s ability to communicate and deliver its message to all. His Excellency emphasized that Rahma will never hesitate to take part in such events, as they represent an opportunity for outreach and engagement with all segments of society in the UAE. His Excellency praised the UAE’s wise leadership for their tremendous efforts in this area, as well as in other areas that relate to the improvement of life. Prof. Al-Suwaidi said the UAE makes every effort and investment in this regard whereby “our own children get the biggest share, particularly with regards to healthcare support.” He also stressed that Rahma will continue to play a vital role in providing the necessary support to cancer patients and their families until they recover, resume their roles in society, and carry on the development process and charitable spirit of our young country. The Cancer Patient Care Society – Rahma is keen to support various societal activities that help mitigate the suffering of cancer patients, their families and the wider community. These activities vary and include visiting patients in hospitals and clinics, and holding conferences, symposia, lectures and events that aim to educate people and raise the awareness of cancer and ways of prevention, to providing the support necessary to patients and their families, be it financially, morally or psychologically. Rahma commends the positive role of individuals as well as public and private institutions in supporting cancer patients, their families and society in general. In this regard, Rahma extends its appreciation to its partners Apparel Group, and SIPA Media that have contributed to providing gifts and have demonstrated a keen interest in participating in community service efforts in the UAE.

The Cancer Patient Care Association - Rahma calls on philanthropists and benefactors to provide the necessary assistance to patients, especially financial support, which is vital in light of the current environment of increasing costs of medical treatment and medications, as well as other surgical interventions, and radiotherapy.
